Portrait of a lady

A portrait of my lovely wife, taken over the weekend at Hampton Court Palace. I positioned her under some low hanging branches against a tree. This served two purposes, first and foremost it cuts off top light and it gives us the nice soft light that’s good for portraits. Secondly, it provides a very uncluttered background.

For processing, I opened the file in Bibble and converted it to black and white using the INDA plugin, with the Agfapan 400 film simulation.

This was taken with a Pentax K-7 and the 50-135mm lens.
